Senior Merchant
Our client is seeking a data-driven, consumer-focused Senior Merchant to lead footwear assortment strategies within their outlet retail business. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, combining analytical precision with a strong sense of product and market trends to deliver the right products to the right stores at the right time. This role calls for a strategic, collaborative professional who can balance creativity, analysis, and execution to drive retail performance.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Senior Merchant Responsibilities

• Develop and execute seasonal footwear assortment strategies across approximately 180 outlet locations.
• Partner with planning, allocation, and pricing teams to ensure optimal product flow and sell-through.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and consumer insights to inform and adjust assortment decisions.
• Balance inventory depth, product mix, and store distribution to meet retail and financial KPIs.
• Lead in-season trading and cross-functional alignment to optimize growth and profitability.

Senior Merchant Qualifications

• 4+ years of merchandising or buying experience in footwear or apparel; outlet or value retail strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas for data analysis.
• Solid understanding of key retail metrics such as sell-through, turn, and average selling price.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable merchandising plans across multiple seasons.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in a large consumer brand environment is highly desirable.

Compensation: Up to $32/hr. (DOE)
