Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on building and refining technical garment patterns from designer sketches, ensuring proper fit, functionality, and construction. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in pattern making, garment construction, and functional design, with the ability to collaborate across teams and occasionally represent the brand in athlete-facing settings.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer Responsibilities

• Create and adjust technical patterns for women’s athletic apparel, either from scratch or by modifying existing designs.
• Translate design concepts into technical drawings, specifications, and garment construction details.
• Participate in fit sessions, evaluate prototypes, and incorporate adjustments to meet styling, comfort, and performance standards.
• Assess garment samples, providing detailed feedback to improve quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and specifications using PDM, PCX, PLM, or other web-based tools.

Senior Apparel Pattern Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in apparel design or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical design experience in pattern making and garment construction, with proven expertise in women’s athletic wear.
• Strong knowledge of knits preferred; additional experience with wovens, outerwear, dresses, or skirts is a plus.
• Proficiency with digital pattern and product lifecycle management tools (PDM, PCX, PLM, or similar).
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Portfolio showcasing technical pattern knowledge, garment construction, and the complexity of previous work.

Compensation: Up to $48/hr. (DOE)
