Render Technician Assistant
Our client is seeking a Render Technician Assistant to support rendering operations across a high-volume production environment. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in digital production pipelines, data management, and render systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Unreal Engine, rendering workflows, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced studio setting.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Render Technician Assistant Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage render queues, ensuring all jobs process correctly and efficiently through the render farm.
  • Troubleshoot failed or stalled jobs, escalating issues and optimizing render settings for quality and performance.
  • Ingest and process finalized assets from internal teams or vendors into the render pipeline.
  • Maintain documentation and consistency in naming conventions, output directories, and file storage processes.
  • Verify that outputs meet visual, resolution, and metadata standards prior to delivery.
  • Transfer completed renders to designated storage systems while maintaining traceability and backup protocols.
  • Prepare assets and renders for quality control and review sessions, flagging inconsistencies or visual errors as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with producers, artists, and pipeline teams to ensure render workflows align with production timelines.

Render Technician Assistant Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience as a render wrangler, render technician, or equivalent academic/internship background.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine and render farm tools such as Deadline or other distributed rendering systems.
  • Working understanding of digital asset management and production pipeline concepts.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and identify process inefficiencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in handling large datasets and multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Experience or coursework involving Autodesk Flow, ShotGrid, or Blender preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages for automating repetitive tasks is a plus.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable following structured workflows and documentation practices.
  • Enthusiasm for learning production technology and growing within a collaborative studio environment.

Compensation: $26.67/hr.
