Managed Care Billing Specialist (Medi-Cal)
Our client seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist specializing in Medi-Cal and Managed Care Billing/Follow-Up to support their team! The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a thorough understanding of Medi-Cal billing requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of patient accounts.

Managed Care Billing Specialist Responsibilities

• Manage timely billing, collections, and follow-up for Medi-Cal inpatient/outpatient accounts.
• Identify and process write-offs, resolve credit balances, and ensure compliance with billing requirements.
• Perform coding edits and ensure all necessary billing documentation is accurate.
• Handle secondary insurance billing and follow-up for unpaid balances.
• Respond promptly to communications from Medi-Cal/Managed Medi-Cal Health Plans.

Managed Care Billing Specialist Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in Medi-Cal billing and follow-up in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal billing requirements and regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and hospital systems for reporting and payer communication.
• Strong decision-making, communication, and mathematical skills.

Compensation: $26/hr. (DOE)
