Legal Compliance Specialist
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Compliance Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that the organization adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment while collaborating across various departments to uphold ethical and legal standards throughout the organization.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Legal Compliance Specialist Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence risk assessments on third parties to identify potential compliance issues and risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure ethical and legal conduct across the organization's third-party engagements.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization’s operations.
  • Develop and update compliance procedures to align with current legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate and train employees on their responsibilities and obligations to maintain compliance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on compliance activities, emerging issues, and resolution strategies.
  • Review contracts and agreements to ensure they meet all legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with a team of four, working closely with other departments to facilitate comprehensive compliance strategies.

Legal Compliance Specialist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-9 years of directly relevant experience in legal compliance, with a strong understanding of bribery, corruption, and third-party risks.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with or understanding of NYC Know Your Customer (KYC) Verification Service is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting and collaborate with various departments.

Compensation: $50/hr. (DOE)
