IT Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and provide support in all aspects of the company’s information technology systems and infrastructure. This pivotal role leads and empowers a team of IT professionals, develops and implements IT strategies, manages IT projects, and ensures the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s IT operations. Strong and effective leadership, collaboration, and a deep understanding and belief in the company’s goals and objectives are key components to success in this role.

This role is fully onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.

IT Manager Responsibilities
IT Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Plan, develop, and manage the IT budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources to support business needs.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement in the company’s IT systems and processes.

IT Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including network infrastructure, servers, storage, security, cloud services, and end-user support.
  • Ensure the availability, security, and performance of IT systems and applications, and implement best practices for IT operations management.

IT Project Management:

  • Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Define project scope, develop project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate professional development for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture that promotes innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate, select, and manage IT vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and security requirements.

Cybersecurity and Data Privacy:

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity and data privacy policies, procedures, and controls to protect the company’s IT assets and data.

IT Governance and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Relationship Management:

  • Collaborate with other departments, senior management, and business stakeholders to understand their IT needs and provide strategic IT guidance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, communicate IT initiatives, and manage expectations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Network management.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures, both for IT team and end-users.
  • Act as backup to other IT personnel.
  • Train team members on internal applications.
  • Any other duties assigned by Leader.

IT Manager Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a small to mid-sized manufacturing company.
  • 10+ years of Desktop and Infrastructure Support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in managing IT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in IT strategy development, project management, and team leadership.
  • Server or Desktop Level Certifications (MCP or equivalent).
  • Advanced knowledge of Hyper-V and virtualization concepts, network and Windows Server topologies, databases, and various server monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent understanding and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and strong ethical conduct.
  • Strong technical writing skills.

Salary: $130K-$150K/year + bonus potential. (DOE)

Additional perks include paid sick leave, vacation time based on years of service, nine paid holidays per year, and travel reimbursement for company-related travel. Coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service, while 401(k) eligibility starts after six months.
