Data Engineer
Our client is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting  data management initiatives, particularly in relation to  Workday implementation. This is a remote position.

Data Engineer Responsibilities
Data Integration & Development: Utilize tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and similar platforms to develop and manage data solutions.
Cloud Technologies: Develop and manage data workflows using Microsoft Azure products including Data Factory, Functions, Databricks, and Monitor.
Data Quality & Optimization: Implement and enhance processes for data integration, modeling, optimization, and quality improvement.
Enterprise Data Solutions: Work closely with data architects to design and support large-scale enterprise data warehouse solutions.
Data Management Life Cycle: Contribute to the technical development of data warehousing and analytics architecture, partnering with architects as needed.
Workday Implementation Support: Focus on integrating data from new systems into our enterprise data warehouse to support our Workday implementation. Although this role won’t interact directly with the Workday application, it’s essential for the integration of new data sources.
Collaboration & Mentoring: Potentially collaborate with and support existing engineers, especially in areas of API/Integration, to enhance team skill sets.

Data Engineer Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data management, with hands-on experience in roles that include:
Development with tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and similar technologies.
Use of Microsoft Azure products, including Data Factory, Functions, Databricks, and Monitor.
Data integration, modeling, optimization, and quality improvement processes.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to write queries or solve test cases on-the-spot during interviews. Strong familiarity with cloud technologies, specifically Azure.
Project Experience: Experience with enterprise data warehousing, data management, and analytics architecture is valuable. Experience in healthcare data management is preferred but not essential.

Preferred Qualifications
Domain Knowledge: Experience or knowledge in the healthcare industry is a plus.
Integration Experience: Strong background in systems integration and API management is highly desirable.

Additional Skills
Hands-on experience with Workday, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and MSSQL.
Experience in HR & Finance domains related to Workday is critical; additional domains are a plus.
