Data Analyst
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Data Analyst to join their team. As the sole Data Analyst within the company, you will play a pivotal role in helping the organization make data-driven decisions by assessing current processes, identifying gaps, and providing strategic insights. This role requires a forward-thinking mindset, as you will determine data needs, build strategies, and work closely with decision-makers to improve operational efficiency. You will function as a trusted partner, building relationships and influencing outcomes across the company.

This role is onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.

Data Analyst Responsibilities

  • Proactively collect, clean, and analyze operational data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Develop strategies for data collection and analysis, determining whether to create new systems or enhance existing ones.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that impact operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to interpret data insights, secure stakeholder buy-in, and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Monitor key metrics related to inventory, supply chain, and production efficiency, addressing areas of underperformance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve operational issues, preventing recurrence.
  • Automate reporting tools to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Act as a strategic partner, building trust and relationships with stakeholders while delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma when applicable.

Data Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operations Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role with a focus on operational data.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of data strategy and implementation.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen) is a plus.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.

Salary: $70k-$100k/year. (DOE)
