Controller
Our growing property management client seeks an experienced Controller to grow with their organization. This role offers a growth path to become the next CFO and would be an excellent fit for someone who enjoys leading a small team in a dynamic work environment.

This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days a week onsite in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Controller Responsibilities

  • Oversee month and year end close processes ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records.
  • Handle cash flow monitoring and financial reporting; present findings to owner.
  • Manage and mentor accounting team members.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Handle payroll billing, review/payment of large invoices, and payment deposits.
  • Monitor electronic banking transactions and clear daily check positive pay notifications.
  • Oversee and manage the corporate VISA program.
  • Manage annual audit.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Controller Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA a plus.
  • At least 5 years in a Controller position.
  • Exposure to property management, construction, or closely related field.
  • Comfortable with Yardi and working in a paperless environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Salary: $130k–$200k + Bonus (DOE)
