Cloud FinOps Analyst/Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud FinOps Analyst/Engineer to support the intersection of cloud infrastructure, financial analysis, and data-driven decision making. This role requires a strong mix of technical and analytical expertise, with the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Cloud FinOps Analyst/Engineer Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and strategy to improve cloud cost transparency and predictability.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize financial models and dashboards to track and forecast cloud usage and spend.
  • Translate complex cloud infrastructure and usage data into actionable financial insights that align with business objectives.
  • Utilize tools and platforms such as AWS, Azure, Excel, and PowerPoint to analyze trends and support decision-making.
  • Develop and enhance visualizations and storytelling mechanisms to communicate opportunities and risks to stakeholders.
  • Identify and advocate for cloud cost optimization strategies and drive adoption across teams.
  • Collaborate with finance and engineering leads to develop sustainable analytics models and scalable reporting mechanisms.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and forecasting efforts by providing reliable, data-backed recommendations.
  • Support governance processes related to cloud financial operations.

Cloud FinOps Analyst/Engineer Qualifications:

  • 6–8 years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong foundation in financial analysis and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across globally distributed teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders and influencing decisions using data.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and Confluence is a plus.
  • Cloud practitioner certification and a bachelor’s degree are preferred but not required.

Compensation: Up to $66/hr. (DOE)
