  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants to coordinate design activities and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide oversight of supplier deliverables, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements and project specifications.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes by adhering to regulatory standards and company procedures.
  • Offer mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers and provide leadership on project-specific design challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory entities to ensure project objectives are met.

Civil / Structural Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally including exposure to nuclear or other highly regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards such as ASCE 4, ASCE 7, ASCE 43, ACI 349/318, AISC N690, IBC, and associated seismic design manuals.
  • Experience with LS-DYNA or similar structural analysis tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming tools such as MATLAB or Python is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-organized technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 guidelines.
