Chief Financial Officer (CPA)
Our local Portland area client is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with an active CPA license to guide the financial strategy of a growing, multi-site organization through its next phase of expansion. The ideal candidate will be a partner to the President, blending strategic vision with hands-on leadership, while bringing deep financial acumen, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to mentor and develop growing teams. This is an opportunity for a proven finance leader who thrives in change, balances strategy with execution, and cultivates trust and financial literacy across the business.
This role is based in-office in Tualatin, OR.
Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities
- Lead overall financial strategy, treasury operations, risk management, and reporting for a mid-size privately held organization.
- Oversee IT, data, and pricing strategies to support growth, integration, and margin optimization.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and financial modeling to drive informed decisions.
- Manage acquisitions, including due diligence, ERP integrations, and post-merger assimilation.
- Build and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and financial literacy throughout the organization.
Chief Financial Officer Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required, MBA highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance with stable tenure and proven success scaling organizations.
- Experience leading finance strategy in mid-size companies, including M&A and ERP integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee IT functions, margin strategy, and pricing governance.
- Familiarity with a cloud-based ERP system and business intelligence tools preferred.
Salary: $230K-$260K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
