Technical Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Accountant to support complex technical accounting initiatives and drive accuracy across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, deep U.S. GAAP expertise, and a collaborative mindset to navigate cross-functional projects. This role requires both precision in execution and the confidence to provide consultative guidance on high-impact accounting matters.

This role is a hybrid model in the Portland Metropolitan Area.

Technical Accountant Responsibilities

• Execute technical accounting projects including ASC 606 revenue recognition, goodwill impairment, and purchase accounting analyses.
• Prepare supporting memos, PPA workbooks, and documentation for measurement period adjustments.
• Review contracts for accounting implications and advise on compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Research, interpret, and document complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Support audits, emerging guidance reviews, and internal controls related to SOX compliance.

Technical Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with public accounting exposure.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP, consolidation principles, and technical research.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently, uphold ethical standards, and collaborate across departments.

Compensation: $60-$70/hr. (DOE)
