Territory Sales Manager – Building Materials Distribution
Our client seeks a driven, hands-on Sales Manager with a strong background in building high-performing teams and driving growth in a dynamic, relationship-driven industry. The ideal candidate is a mentor and motivator, someone who leads by example, adapts quickly, and thrives on solving complex challenges in the building materials distribution space.
Territory Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers, driving sales performance and strategic growth.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies to grow market share and support branch profitability.
- Monitor key accounts, conduct field travel with reps, and foster strong customer relationships.
- Oversee daily sales operations, including pricing, product training, order issues, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare annual sales budgets, track performance metrics, and manage sales expense approvals.
Territory Sales Manager Qualifications:
- Strong background in distribution, building materials, or similar industry.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Proven ability to develop teams, lead sales strategy, and drive successful results.
- Adaptable with a strong sense of urgency; ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused leadership style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Salary: $150k–$200k + Bonus (DOE)
