Lead Merchant
Our client is seeking a results-driven Lead Merchant to support the global merchandising strategy for kids’ lifestyle and sportswear accessories. This role will oversee seasonal line planning with a focus on consumer-centric assortments that fuel growth and brand relevance.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Lead Merchant Responsibilities
- Drive seasonal merchandising strategies for kids’ accessories, ensuring alignment with global direction and marketplace needs.
- Partner cross-functionally with planning, sales, marketing, and product development teams to deliver compelling, growth-oriented assortments.
- Leverage market insights, trend analysis, and consumer behavior data to inform product and assortment decisions.
- Create and present seasonal strategies and assortment plans to internal stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Manage complex seasonal timelines and project scopes while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Act as a key connector between product creation and marketplace execution, ensuring the product pipeline supports business goals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment while navigating ambiguity with confidence.
Lead Merchant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have prior experience in accessories merchandising.
- Background in the sports, activewear, or athletic lifestyle industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in merchandising, buying, or planning within a consumer-focused business.
- Confident self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence across functions and seniority levels.
- Experience managing multiple seasons and timelines simultaneously.
Compensation: Up to $41.33/hr. (DOE)
