Sales Manager
Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their organization.

This role is hybrid. Travel to McMinnville, Oregon required one week per month. Candidates must be located in Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.

Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, and partnerships and convert those into sales.
  • Developing and diversifying existing customers so that income increases and the future and growth of the organization are guaranteed.

New Business Opportunities:

  • Researching the market to find new opportunities. Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these needs.
  • Have a good understanding of our client’s product specifications and be able to advise others about them.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients, and getting deals closed.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events to expand insights and network; Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.

Key Account Management:

  • Building up and maintaining a strong relationship with your existing customers. Become a trusted and privileged partner for your clients by ensuring that we meet our client expectations.
  • Expand the existing customers by guiding them -with your category knowledge- to grow their sales.
  • Answering queries, offering advice, and presenting new products.
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the needs of our customers.
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments the ensure optimal service levels.
  • You report to the VP of Commercial.

Sales Manager Qualifications

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the fields of Sales, Marketing, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing projects effectively.
  • Specific experience in the Food industry, with a keen interest and background in bars and snacks.
  • Solid experience with co-manufacturing or private-label projects.
  • Proven track record in leading customer-centric product development initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with fluency in information technology tools and platforms.
  • The capacity to thrive independently with minimal oversight, proactive in approach, and adept at navigating uncertainty.
